News Death Notice

WILLIAMS, Dale G., "Sonny" Age 72 of Moraine, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 14, 1937 in Dayton, the son of the late Merle & Eva (Sickler) Williams. Sonny was retired from the Montgomery County Dept. of Sanitation with 30 years of service. A member of the Moraine City Eagles #3925, played semi-pro basketball and was a golden glove. Preceded in death by a son Mark, a daughter Shannon, sister Louise and his mother-in-law Ruby (Ball) Zell. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Zell) Williams, 2 sons Shane and Dale Jr., daughter Paula, brothers Jerry (Missy) and Mickey, sisters Jeannie, Patty, and Sue, 7 grandchildren, a great granddaughter, his father-in-law Robert Zell, and sisters-in-law Nancy and Robyn (Byron). Sonny was gifted with a beautiful voice, a proud man with a heart of gold he will live on through those who knew and loved him. My bonny, bonny laddie. You are my light, my life, my smile, forever yours, Carolyn. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hammond Memorial V.F.W. Post #3438, 5441 Marina Dr., W. Carrollton, OH 45449. Arrangements entrusted to the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton.

Dear Carol, You have my deepest sympathy. There are no words that can comfort you in this time of loss.Only time can ease the pain,but you will always yearn for him, just like I do for Dave. I am so glad you have family & friends near you, it helps agreat deal.I loved him very much,his sis Patty

Carol and family,
You certainly have our sympathy, thoughts and prayers in this time of loss. Wish I could be there but want to spend time with you when I get up there mid July. Knowing that the Ladd is finally out of pain and at rest is consoling. I pray for your peace now too.
