News Death Notice

BEHNE, David Robert Age 61 of Kettering, passed away April 18th 2015. David was a resident of Magelia, California at the time of his death. He had been battling a brave fight against prostate cancer since 2014. Born in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Dave and Dottie Behne on December 11, 1953. He was raised in Cincinnati and later Kettering. He attended Fairmont East H.S. where he was senior class president of his graduate class of 1972. He spent 15 years as a printing press operator in Arizona and California, making custom plastic bags. He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie, whom he was a devoted husband to. He was survived by his parents Dave and Dottie Behne of Arizona, brother Mark Behne of Kettering, sister Donna Behne & Cheryl Coffey of Englewood, sister Cheryl & Greg Moore of North Carolina, daughter Sarah & Roland Mesecher, grandsons Nate, Owen and Alex, and granddaughter Emma of Arizona. David had an appreciation for the majestic beauty of the great outdoors. He played guitar and loved classic rock music. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.

So very sorry about Dave. I just now found out of his passing and was very saddened. Dave and I were good friends in HS and hung out often. He was a great and caring friend. I'll always remember the really good times, riding his Norton, listening to the Stones and getting together with all the other friends. Dave was very well liked and popular. My thoughts go out to his wonderful family. Steve Metcalf
