David Bundy Memoriam

Memoriam

BUNDY, David Lee This note is written in memory of David Lee Bundy who died in his sleep on the 1st morning of July, 2007. He was very ill and Mount Carmel Hospice was there every one of his last few days to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. Dave's family can never express our gratitude enough to each member of the hospice team who visited and cared for him in the last days of his life struggle for a breath of air. Dave was 59 years old and was born on August 1, 1947. My younger brother Dave and I have always gone together like peanut butter and jelly. We were always commenting on how different we were and the way our lives went down different paths. We talked constantly about how close we felt and the many good memories we shared. Our parents, Leon W and Dolores Bundy, who we loved very much, have been gone for some time. Dave was an amateur speed boat racer and airplane pilot. He was an ex-Marine and automotive body shop owner as well as an excellent auto body painter. He was my close friend and we always had a good laugh and a hug together. I will miss him. The best thing he ever did was to produce two wonderful children. They were his pride and joy. He told me so many times. His son, David Michael Bundy, lives in Columbus, Ohio. David has a wonderful wife, Lindsey and three of the cutest kids, Taylore, Lexton, and Lily. Dave couldn't get enough of these three. He was not able to play with them much because he was so very ill for many years. His daughter, Amy D Bundy, lives in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. She and her daughter,Amanda, were very special to Dave. Amanda is almost grown now and spent hours with Dave laughing and teasing. His favorite thing to do, I might add. Cheryl Reiter was probably the friend that Dave spent most of his time with in his last few months. She ran errands and took care of things around his place every week. Mostly she stopped by and called as much as she could and kept Dave from being so lonely. Cheryl told me he was an extraordinary man with a good sense of humor. She loved and misses him very much. I want to say good bye to my brother and my friend. I will always remember and miss you. Love, Carol
