Family-Placed Obituary
BURROWS, David P. Sr. "Tippy" Age 68 of Englewood, died Sunday, October 29, 2006. He was a 1956 graduate of Fairview High School and retired from Inland. He was a US Army veteran and was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. Tippy is survived by his wife Penelope "Penny" Burrows, 2 daughters Susan (Chip) McPherson of West Chester, Shelley (John) Verdes of Powell, OH, 1 son David P. Jr. (Jackie) Burrows of Vandalia, 7 grandchildren Devin, Meghan and Jillian McPherson, Libby and Joey Verdes, Taylor and Peyton Burrows, 2 sisters Suzanne (Marvin) Arnold of TX, Nancy (John) Keller of FL, 2 brothers Donn (Judy) Burrows of FL, Harry (Joyce) Burrows of WI. Services and a Tribute of Tippy's Life will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Concord United Methodist Church 1123 S. Main St. in Englewood by Pastor Tom Rand and Pastor Jay McMillan. Interment Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton or Concord U.M.C. in Tippy's memory. On-line condolences may be sent to www.bakerhazelsnider.com.

The thing I will remember most about Tippy was how his eyes sparkled evertime he talked about his children, wife and grandchildren. He was a very proud man, Father, Husband and Grandfather. Tippy was the lifeblood, spirit and energy known by everyone at Northmont High School! He was the most positive man I have ever known. Being around him always made me feel so good all over and he was forever helping out in any way he could for his children and his community. We will sorely miss the shining light Tippy brought to us, but his family carries that same spirit and through them, we will always remember him!
May God strengthen the family and friends left to morn his loss. Tippy, smile down on us all!
