BUSSER, David Eugene 72, died 8:12 pm December 30, 2008 at The Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf after an extended illness. He was born April 6, 1936 in Garfield Heights to the late Eugene & Elizabeth (Forbes) Busser. On February 22, 1958, he married Janice L. Gerding and she survives in Kalida. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Busser. Survivors also include three children; Jeannine (Ronald) Setser, Ottawa, Daniel (Carol) Busser, San Dimas, CA; and Theodore (Kimberly) Busser, Ottawa; six grandchildren, Timothy Fowler, Findlay, Katherine Wiggeringloh and Sarah Setser, both of Ottawa, Dean Busser and Colleen Busser, both of San Dimas, CA; Adam Brinkman, Ottawa, and two great-grandchildren, Jacob & Seth Fowler, Findlay. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1960 as a speech major. He was a Kappa Sigma Fraternity member, a radio announcer at BGSU-FM and also an actor at the university. He was the president and owner of R.E. Condit Company but loved being a salesman. He retired in 1992. He remained as a consultant until 1994. He had 29 motorcycles in his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skeet shooting & handguns. He owned his own plane and was a private pilot. He was a University of Dayton football fan. He was a 32nd degree Mason, an Antioch Shriner, MVSC, SCC Hospital volunteer, volunteered with Safe Rides School at the ER in Sycamore Medical Center, as well as a foster parent to 2 children. He also enjoyed hosting an exchange student from Sweden. He was a lifeguard, swim instructor & did clown diving acts. He loved animals, especially dogs. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SICSA (The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals), 2600 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45419, or a charity of the donors choice.
