News Death Notice
DERKSEN, David 68, of Eaton, formerly of Northridge, passed away Tuesday April 12, 2011. David was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 7, 1942. He was retired from A.O. Smith Company in Tipp City, Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Fisher & Leah Ann (infant); granddaughter, Jennifer Derksen. Survived by 2 daughters, Karen Pierce (Rick), Janet Herald (Chad); 2 sons, David Derksen (Melinda), Mike Derksen (Lora); sisters, Harriet Christopher (Benny), Marilyn Matheny & Carol Davis (Geno); brothers, William, Charles (Janette), John (Sharon) & Frank Derksen; 9 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; also survived by special friend, Nancy Hensley and brother-in-law, Jackie Fisher. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Monday at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "Northridge Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Mike Derksen, officiating. Interment Fletcher Chapel Cemetery, South Charleston, Ohio. The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the George C. Martin Funeral Home.
