Fr. Dave was very special to the class of 1958 at CCHS in Springfield. As Seniors we had him for Religion Class. He came to most of our Class Reunions. Fr. Dave was a man of peace and love for life. My sympathy to all of his family.

Father Heinl was a special friend to all of us from Catholic Central High School in Springfield, Ohio circa 1958. I believe we were his first class of students after he was ordained. He attended many of our high school reunions. I felt priviledged to know him. I believe he held a special place in his heart for our class. I know I felt that way about him. God keep him in his loving care. He was a wonderful friend, priest and mentor. My sincere sympathy to his family as you have lost a very wonderful man, but God has a new friend in heaven.

My sincere sympathy to all of Fr. Dave's family.
He was my high school religion teacher at CCHS in Springfield. As a member of the class of 1958, we shared many fond memories of Fr. Dave. He was such a kind and gentle person. May he rest in peace.
