I am so sorry for your loss. Dave and I were friends from 1975 to 1982...when we were just kids. I remember him riding that moped all the time. Those were the days of youth and innocence. Your family will be in my prayers. Laurie Shields Crumley

I knew Dave when we both worked at CCI back in the 1980s. I am very sorry to hear about your loss, Michelle. Dave was a great guy and we had a lot of laughs while working at Circuit Center. Although we'd lost touch through the years I still remember him fondly.

I am very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with him many years ago at Triangle Precision. I always found him to be a kind and loving father - he spoke of his son every night at work. What I remember most was his love of Adams county and how he enjoyed hunting down there.

Michelle, Zack, Donna, Doug and Dawn,

I am really having a hard time trying to figure out what to say.....I am very saddened by this tragic event....I know it has been a few years since I've seen or talked to David, but have known the family for I'm going to say 40 years or so? The last time I saw and spoke to David was probably about 4 or 5 years ago at Jack's Pet Store....yea I know, go figure huh? LOL David and I grew up together....his family lived 4 houses down from my family. Donna and Doug have been friends with my mom and dad since then! I have a lot of fond memories of all of us when we were very young......David and I were always very good buddies. I can remember David always had a smile and I loved to hear him laugh......I can sit here right now and here him! :)) It's really hard for me to sit here and type my condolences to the family, because this should not have to be, but I know God has David in His plan and needed him in Heaven. I know life as you know it now will not be the same without David.....but I'm going to guess that David will never be too far away.........I truly believe that his spirit will thru his son Zack. There is going to be a long grieving period for the entire family, but from the entries I have read I feel you will have a lot of support and a lot of different shoulders to cry upon. Even tho like I said, I have not seen or talked to David in about 4 or 5 years, but Donna, Doug, Dawn, Michelle and Zack, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.......I love all of you and will see you all tonight. Not looking forward to it, but I'll have a big shoulder for any of you if you need it!

Love,

Tina (Lacy) Gabbard, Kettering, OH

Michelle and Zack,
I know words cannot begin to describe the profound magnitude of your loss of a husband and father. And to David's parents, the loss of their son. May our good Lord grant you confort and strength in this most difficult time. I played softball with Dave for many years in Kettering for Katz bar. We won a lot of first place trophies for them over the years. We had some of the same friends who played for Katz, Todd Bertke, Greg Crisler, Dave Lake, just to name a few. We were all like a bunch of brothers, yet we were not related, but we always had each others back. David was very competitive and wanted to win all the time, it was great. I have a lot of great memories of those days I will never forget. Dave would always tell me about going deer hunting and fishing trips he would take, he really enjoyed nature and the outdoor life. I know he will be greatly missed.

God Bless

Michelle & Zach,
I want to start by saying how sorry I am for your loss. I met Dave in the late 1980's and had lost touch with him over the last few years. The things I remember most about him was his huge heart, love of animals, his great laugh and the love you could see in his face when he spoke of the two of you. I'm sure he will be missed by all those that knew him. I hope your memories of him bring you comfort and my thoughts and prayers are with you and his parents during you time of grief.

Michelle & Zack, our prayers are with you both during this hard time. I remember Dave so well from when he coached my boys, Tom & Bill. It was such a shock to hear of his passing. He is with God now and will be taking care of the two of you from Heaven. God must have really needed Dave with Him to take him from you at such a young age. God bless both of you and if there is anything we can do, please let us know.

When I first met Dave it was hard to see past all the bravado. But once I got to know him I got to see what he really was. A good, straight-forward, big hearted man who truly LOVED his family. Michelle, Zach and Dave's parents-I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God be with you at this most difficult time.
