NOBLE, David W. (Bill) passed away on Sunday, August 7th with family at his side at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on July 3, 1918 in Canton, Ohio to Frederick and Minnie Burns Noble, who preceded him in death as did his sister Georgia (Ed) Harrigan. He was raised in Zanesville, Ohio and graduated from Lash High School and the Meredith Business College. He was a proud veteran and retiree of the United States Army serving during World War II with distinction and retiring with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer IV. Upon his return from the war, he married Inez Elaine Brown who survives him along with their three sons, Keith (Janet) of Cutler, Ohio, their children Andria (Greg) Knupp, Emily (Todd) Wyatt, and Seth (fiancee Cheryl Currie); David (Mary Kay) of Mentor, Ohio, their children Sean, Katie, and Ryan; and John (Paula) of Springboro, Ohio, their children, Melissa, John, Joel, and Allison. He was exceptionally proud of his ten grandchildren and their spouses and was looking forward to the birth of his first great grandchild. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who loved their "Uncle Bill." Bill and Inez enjoyed 59 years of loving each other. He retired from the Defense Electronics Supply Center in 1981. He was active at Corinth Presbyterian Church, where he served as Elder, Trustee and Past President of the retirees group. He and Inez were active members of the Merry Mixers square dance club. He was an ACTIVE volunteer for the City of Kettering. He loved to follow all sports...particularly Fairmont H.S. football. His family will receive friends and family at the Routsong Funeral Home 2100 E. Stroop Rd., at Woodman Drive, Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m., and visitation on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. and a service to follow. Burial will be at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens on State Route 48 south of State Route 73.
