Dennis PEAVY Obituary
News Death Notice
PEAVY, Mr. Dennis, Sr. age 87 of Dayton, Ohio found his peace and made his way home on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Dayton VA Medical Center. Dennis was born in Newnan, Georgia to the late Edgar and Ada Belle Peavy on September 7, 1925. Dennis served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. Brother Dennis is preceded in death by his wife Carrie Peavy, son Dennis Peavy, Jr. and brother Eddie Peavy. He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Beverly Harrison and sons Carlton Montgomery, Danny, Alonzo all of Dayton and Edgar (Vinicia) Peavy of Houston, Texas and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dennis is also survived by sister-in-law Elizabeth Amos of Dayton and Bernice (Abraham) Temple of Birmingham, Alabama; one niece Monteen Walker of California. Services will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Greater Allen A.M.E. Church, 1620 W. Fifth St. Pastor Earl Harris, officiating. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 noon.
