Family-Placed Obituary
STAGGS, Dennis L. Age 58, of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly following surgery at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus on Sunday, July 10, 2005. He was preceded in death by his father, Forest Staggs. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving 2 tours of duty. He was a member of VFW Post #3288, Brookville and he retired after 20 years service to the Montgomery County Health Dept. He is survived by his son, Zachary L. Staggs & wife Brenda, New Albany, IN; granddaughter, Lucy Staggs; mother, Delores Staggs, Dayton; sister, Patty McKinney & husband Mike, Farmersville; nephews, Kenny Boehmer & wife Brooke, Jason Boehmer & wife Sarah; niece, Amy Kidwell & husband Mike; 2 great-nephews & 1 great-niece. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, July 16 at the GILBERT- FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, with Rev. George Pennington officiating. Interment in Holp Cemetery, New Lebanon. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 PM Friday. If desired, e-mail condolences may be sent by going online to www.gilbert-fellers.com

Dennis and I were in the same class in school at Dixie. He was a good friend and I am very sad to learn of his passing. I just heard today , July 17.
