Dixie Stupp Obituary

Stupp (Trueblood), Dixie Karen

Mrs. Dixie Karen (Trueblood) Stupp, age 74, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at her residence in Cookeville, Tennessee, surrounded by her family.

Dixie was born on Friday, May 4, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, the third daughter and third youngest of four children of the late E. Donald and Kathryn C. (Jones) Trueblood. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle, Ohio, and soon discovered her true calling: caring for children. Over the years, she worked as a teacher, nanny, and daycare owner, ultimately retiring from the Springfield City School District. She devoted her energy, patience, and humor to helping little ones grow and thrive.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Frederick Stupp; her children, Diane (Charlina) Stupp, Dann Stupp (Lindsay Petrie), and Katy (Bil) Snyder; and her grandchildren, Kody Davis, and Zoie, Nora, and Gracie Snyder. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, foster grandchildren, and countless friends who were like family, especially her dearest friend, Lynn Dryburgh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Donna Craig and Diane Massey, and her brother, Kace Trueblood.

Dixie never met a person - or a four-legged companion - who wasn't a friend. She had a gift for making people laugh, lifting spirits, and reminding others of their worth. She created a welcoming home filled with joy, love, and encouragement.

Dixie cherished her Willow Grove book club, where she found community and joy in both the stories and the friendships. She also loved to cheer for her team, the Cincinnati Reds. More than anything, she treasured time with her family, her grandchildren, and her beloved pets, who brought her immeasurable happiness.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home, 2106 Cookeville Highway, Livingston, Tennessee, with a celebratory service immediately to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to be made to the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation or to the Putnam County Animal Shelter in Tennessee.

This is our latest who Dixie suggested we name for her! We were neighbors in Ohio. Her family moved to TN and ours to FL. So blessed we reconnected on Facebook. She and Fred were so good to my mom. I loved trading posts with her and loving our animals. A wonderful person. God bless all her loved ones.
