Donald Gilbert Obituary

Gilbert, Donald Duane

Age 84 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Kettering Health Hamilton. He was born on March 10, 1941 in Harlan, KY, the son of the late Virgil and Willa (Fleener) Gilbert. Donald married his wife of over 58 years, Peggy (Norton) Gilbert on February 18, 1967. He was a Vietnam War veteran and worked at GE and Beckett Papers after serving in the US Army. Donald is survived by his wife, Peggy; sons, Christopher (Amber) Gilbert and Donald Gilbert; grandchildren, Noah Gilbert and Emma Gilbert; and sister, Sarah Emerson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Larry Gilbert, Mildred Huff, Lola Seals, and Shirley Robinette. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
