News Death Notice
PARROTT, Donald Edmund Age 73 of Kettering, OH. With heavy hearts we said goodbye to Don, beloved husband, father and grandfather, on Thursday, April 16, 2015 after a hard fought, courageous battle against cancer. Born January 18, 1942 in East St. Louis IL, he was preceded in death by his parents, Donald & Jessie Parrott. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Jeri; children Scott (Heather) Parrott, Stacy (Lanny) Wineland, Tara Saunders-Frank, and Brooke (Mark) Cady; Grandchildren Kristina Krug, Ryan Krug, Samantha Parrott, Evan Parrott, Jackson Frank, Alec Cady & baby Cady on the way; Sister Robin Rubin; In-laws Joanne Carman & Jerry Skinner; best of friends Ron & Bev Faul; and snuggling buddy Yankee Doodle. He graduated from Patterson Co-op High School in 1960 & enjoyed a long career in mortgage banking. Don's favorite hobby was golfing with his buddies. He even achieved the elusive hole-in-one three times! Don also enjoyed cruising along the Ohio River on his boat, but he was happiest being with his family and friends. Special thanks to Don's nurses for their compassionate care: Loic and Stephanie at MVH & Lisa at Greater Dayton Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers please send donations to HealthWell Foundation (healthwellfoundation.org) or The American Cancer Society (cancer.org). To offer your condolences please join us at Westbrock Funeral Home (5980 Bigger Road, Kettering OH). Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 6-8pm.

Don was a very compassionate, caring and loving individual. Al and Cheri Kulig will miss him deeply. Al will miss him especially on the those warm, early Sunday morning golf outings and in the summer twice a year on those Kentucky golf trips. Rest in Peace Don....
