Dear Jean, my heart is so saddened to hear this terrible news. We have lost touch over the years and I am sad for that as well. I love the picture of him shown with the obituary.
I wish I knew your address and will work on finding it, until then just know that I would love to see you and hear more about your and Donald's years of life together. I only heard about this yesterday and you have been in my thoughts since and the high school years we shared have flooded my spirit since. Much love and peace to you and your family at this time. Most Sincerely, Phyllis Lee Scalzo

I knew you as my "across the street" neighbor in Irvine. I am 1 year younger than your brother Arnold. Loved coming over in the afternoons and talking to your dear mom on the carport. Since I was younger and not yet of dating age, it was always "interesting" for me to watch when Donald would come to pick you up for dates. My mom, Emma Lee, who has been with my husband and I the past 9+ years, hated so badly to hear about Donald's passing and said he was such a wonderful young man. We were so sorry to hear of his passing and will remember you and your family in our prayers. We just wanted you to know we are thinking of you!

I was so saddened to learn of Donald's passing. I remember him as the best friend of my brother (Jiggs Stokes) through elementary school and high school in Ravenna and Irvine, Kentucky. He was a wonderful, cheerful and smart boy then and it sounds like those traits stayed with him the rest of his life. What a shame that those days were so long ago and we lost touch after high school. Please accept my sincere condolences in your loss. Those of us who knew him will treasure his memory.

Dear Jean,
I was deeply saddened upon hearing about Don's passing. Don was a wonderful person and a gifted teacher. I'll never forget how kind you and Don were in helping me during the most difficult part of my life, my divorce.
May God bless you and comfort you during this most difficult time.
