Our deepest sympathy to the family of Virgil Gentz. He was a true friend of mine and my family. From coaching their three girls Kim, Kelley and Theresa in volleyball at Central High school to spending time at their home drinking coffee to just kicking back and talking. Virgil was a big fan and supporter of our program. Always the loudest voice in the crowd with his cheer gimme a "C". He will be truly missed by our family and my son Evan and daughter Jena whom he was a true mentor to. We´ll never forget those spaghetti dinners Gail !! Rest in peace my friend. "Virg" was a friend, classmate, and teammate at Central High School in the late 1950s. Though it's been over 65 years since I last saw him, I clearly remember his strong commitment to the football team, his willingness to play through frequently being injured, and his never give up attitude. My condolences to Gail and all the Gentz family.

Shared several classes together at CHS. Still remember to this day the one joke that cracked me up! MY sympathies to all the family.

Dear Gail,
I met your husband while riding bicycle on the county roads. I had stopped for a break across your house, he was outside, we chatted and I as I left I had a sense "I just found a friend."
Over time I stopped again, sometimes bringing nuns, once a seminarian, and always with a sense that we've known each other for a long time.
You both will be in my prayers. May God bless my friend with eternal friendship.
