Family-Placed Obituary

TIDD, Eileene Houston 84, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday evening Dec. 11, 2004 at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born in Greene Co. July 4, 1920 the daughter of Ertis and Jessie (Layman) Houston. She graduated in 1938 from Silvercreek High School and married Dennis Tidd on March 8, 1941. She was a member of the Bar J Rodeo Club, New Jasper United Methodist Church, The Ladies Who Do, X.L. Retread Motorcycle Club and Friends on Wheels. She is survived by her husband Dennis, 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Phillip and Peggy Tidd and Tony and Shelley Tidd; grandchildren: Braden Tidd and wife, Ricki; Erin Tidd and fiancee, Brent Sholler all of Jamestown. She is preceded in death by a brother, Leo Houston and a daughter, Carolyn Kay. Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at Powers Funeral Home, in Jamestown, where friends may call Tuesday from 5 P.M.-8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Silvercreek and New Jasper Emergency Squads. Burial will be in Silvercreek Cemetery.

She was a very beautiful lady with a great sense of humor. We have wonderful memories of her, with friends on wheels and retreads motorcycle club.
