It was a pleasure working with Eldon in the Roughing Mill area of the Hot Strip Mill. Eldon was very supportive of me during my time there. He was always very positive and fun to work with, spreading his knowledge, wisdom and great maintenance skills openly with everyone.
I only have fond memories of our time together even during the bi-weekly 20 hr downturns. I often reflect on my times with Eldon, Vernon Lynch, Gary "Hotwire" McGuire, Time Brunner, Kenny "Floyd" Shrout, Wayne Ketron, Gary Williams, Don Stien, Ron Webb, Bob Barnes and a list too long to include here. It seems like it was just yesterday!
My prayers are with you in your next life. I was blessed to spend time working side by side with you,
Ted Mattson
