News Death Notice

BAILEY JR., Mr. Ernest born September 18, 1933 to the union of the late Ernest Sr. and Lamar Bailey in Lilburn, GA entered his eternity on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was a devoted member of The Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 30 years, where he served on the Usher Board, a veteran of the US Army and retired from government service after 30 year s service. Also preceding him in death is (1) grandson, Brent Ingram and (1) great granddaughter, Russia. He continues life through his (4) sons, Ernest, III, Brent, Roger and Todd Bailey; (1) daughter. Jamilla Bailey; sister-in-law, Juan Cowan; brothers-in-law, Ramon Robinson, Roy Cowan, S. Bertram Robinson, S. Bertrand Robinson; brothers, John Dearing, Ken Harris and Fred Williams; special sister, Corrie Grey; (11) grandchildren, D'on, D'onna and Antwain Ingram; LeKeisha (Bailey) Minor, Ernest, IV, Clinton, Eric, Todd, Jr., TreVaughn, Erinn and Taryn Bailey; (10) great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Funeral Service 1:00p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at The Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 South Broadway St., with Rev. Dr. Ernest E. Graves, officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment, Dayton National Cemetery. Services entrusted to THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 SALEM AVE., TROTWOOD, OH. Ernie was my supervisor at DESC when I was a Co-Op student. He made work fun for the students that worked for him and Mrs Kelly. I will always remember what a funny and sweet person he was.
