News Death Notice
SWIFT, Jr., Francis Edward "Ed" 56 years of Dayton went home to be with his savior on Tuesday December 3, 2013. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 10, 1957. He was the son of the late Francis Edward Sr. Swift. Ed was a member of the Lifepointe Church in Kettering, Ohio and was a Personal Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase. Ed is survived by his wife Jenny (Rauch) Swift of Dayton whom he married on November 26, 1977, son Joshua (Katherine) Swift of Centerville, daughters Lindsay (Joshua) Bell of Maryville, TN and Alexandrea Swift of Centerville, mother Patricia Fields of Hillsboro, brother Mike (Lauri) Swift of Tennessee, six sisters Sara Fields of Maysville, KY, Letty (Bill) Allen of New Vienna, Mary (Steve) Bikowsky of Hillsboro, Peggy (Ron) Shafer of Hillsboro, Laura Catron of Hillsboro and Molly Swift and friend Linda Uzzel of Arizona; six grandchildren David, Jonah and Savannah Swift and Jay, Nora and Amelia Bell, several nieces, nephews and beloved Chihuahua's Bubby and Olive. Ed will be dearly missed-especially for his warm smile, quick wit and "helpful" spirit. Funeral Services will be 12:00pm (Noon) on Saturday December 7, 2013 at the Lifepointe Church in Kettering. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00am until time of service on Saturday December 7, 2013 at the Lifepointe Church. I had just had the pleasure of meeting Ed in our training class this last Monday. He was very outgoing with a warm personality. The thing I remember most was how lovingly he spoke of his grandchildren. I could tell his family was very dear to him. My thoughts go out to them.

I didn't know Ed well but what I did know was that he loved his family dearly.There was never a time I saw him that he didn't have that wonderful smile on his face. He was the kind of guy that just made you happier by being around him. I can only imagine the incredible loss his family feels. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, children and grandchildren. My heart goes out to Ed's family esp. at this time of the year! I'm so sorry for your loss. It was today I was calling Ed at his office to tell him I was ready to start a home loan only to be saddened by the devastating news. Ed was always positive and a joy to be around. You will be truly missed!

Ed was a good father which is evident in how his children are such awesome people. He was good husband, grandfather, and a good friend who will be greatly miss by all who knew him. I pray for the family and that I will one day be in heaven with Ed. God blessed me with the privelege to had known Ed. God please bless the entire family.
