Rick, I just watched your exceptionally loving words about your father, and shared your tears and shining memories of Fred. I adored him from the time we first met, as teenagers, when he spent time in Roanoke and I got to know him. The whole family adored him, my mother Grace, father Arthur, and brother Nick.
I miss him so much already. All these years since we kept touch, and it was always a great pleasure to pick up the phone and hear his warm voice. We agreed on a lot, and where we didn't agree, it made no difference whatsoever.
You are a lucky son of a great man. We are all lucky to have had him for alll these years. I only wish we could have had him longer.
I send much love to you and all your family,
Stephanie

Fred was a wonderful person who always had a kind word and smile for everyone. Very loyal, charismatic, kind and leaving a positive impact on all he met. Fred loved Dayton community, wanting to positively add to it with pure integrity and fairness. My sympathies to children, family, and friends. I know it is a tremendous loss but be happy in heart for he loved his family.
