Family-Placed Obituary

ALTHERR, Gilbert H. "Gil" age 91, of Springboro, formerly of Kettering, and a resident of Ft. Meyers, FL for the past 25 years passed away Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Kettering Medical Center. Gil was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Air Force as a Major. He was a graduate of Purdue University and a member of the Masons. Gil is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Altherr. He is survived by loving wife of 65 years, Martha; daughter, Linda (Dennis) Matheson of Washington Township; granddaughter, Abby (Sean) Kuhn of Springboro; and great-grandchildren, Connor, Zachary and Joshua Kuhn. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 12:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Brooks Heck officiating. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In memory of Gil, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 24 N. Jefferson St., Dayton, OH 45402. Condolences may be sent to the family via the website at www.routsong.com.
