News Death Notice

HUFF, Gussie (Malcolm) Age 92, of Clayton, OH, born June 6, 1921 in Newnan, Georgia of Coweta County, passed away September 20, 2013. The last surviving family member of 9 children of the late Matt and Ruth Malcolm. She was a faithful member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years and worked in the Willing Workers Club and the hospitality committees. Also, a longtime member of the American Woodman Organization and the Wolfcreek Priority Board. Preceded in death by her husband of more than 57 years, Albert Huff Sr.; son, Albert Huff Jr.; siblings, Mattie, Christine, Ruth, William, Robert, Charles and Florine; grandson, Albert Brian Huff; close friends, Vallie Comer & Helen Johnson. She is survived by her children, Willie Horsely, Doris (Wayne) Corbitt, Minnie (Lee) Howard, James (Phyllis) Huff, Renee Moses, Roslyn Green and Lois Carter; daughter-in-law, Winifred Huff; family friend, Louvenia Maddox; a host of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, many relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Greater St. John M.B. Church, 4200 Germantown Pike. Rev. Lloyd Hayes officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Visitation 1 pm at the church, at which time family will receive friends. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N.
