Harold OCHS Obituary


News Death Notice

OCHS, Harold E. age 84 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the Brookhaven Rehab Center. Harold was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict he retired from Ochs Industries after 37 years of service as a tool and dye engineer. Harold was a longtime member of Fairhaven Church where he was an elder for many years. He was also an avid fisherman and gardener, with roses being his pride and joy. He is preceded in death by his first wife Dolores, parents William and Evelyn Ochs, grandson Aaron Worthen. Harold is survived by his wife Clara Ochs, their children: Ellen(Allen)Worthen, Kathy(Kenneth)Stem, Pam Erbaugh, Deb (Richard)Hessel, Cindy Orth, Shirley(Terry)Powers, and Holly Miller, grandchildren: Kristy Rhodes, Jason, Jared, and Katie Worthen; Emily and Corey Stem; Sara Price and Bryan Erbaugh; Matt and Andy Hessel; Josh and Hannah Powers; Mallory, Samantha and Harrison Miller, and six great-grandchildren, sisters; Nettie(Bill)Boos, Lilah Himes, and Mary Kittle, numerous nieces, nephews, and as always "the gang". Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel. Funeral service to be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the Fairhaven Church 637 E. Whipp Rd. Burial will follow Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420.

Harold was a wonderful person and I feel blessed that I had the pleasure of knowing him and being his "up north" neighbor for several years. I know this is a sad time for all of you, but your Father is at peace now.
