News Death Notice
WINDOWS, Helen M. Was born January 1936 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to Walter J. and Anna M (Siudyla) Rejkowski. Helen went home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. She attended school at Cuyahoga Falls High School and graduated in 1954. In 1957 she married Maynard J. Windows and devoted herself to being a loving wife and mother. Helen worked for the Kettering School system as a school aid for George L. Ernst Elementary and retired from Beavertown Elementary school after 16 years of service. She was a long time member of St. Charles Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard of 48 years in 2005. She is survived by her son, Joe Windows of Kettering; 3 daughters, Michele (Danny) Elofskey of Kettering, Cathy Boyle of Kettering and Angela (David) Connolly of Hampstead, NC; 5 grandchildren, Brenton, Aubrey, Tony , Jack and Samantha; step grandchildren, Nathan and Dillon; brother, Joseph Rejkowski of Naperville, Il; sister, Mary Ann Losonczki of Kettering; and 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Family will greet friends from 3-5 pm on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, June 1, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd. Kettering, OH. In memory of Helen contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 W. Whipp Road Dayton, OH 45459 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike Dayton, OH 45409.
