I am so sorry to hear that Hilda passed away but I know that she was ready. I would periodically call to check in on her and she aways said she is just waiting for the Lord to come for her. I called this morning and found her number disconnected which made my heart sink. Hilda was my mother's best friend growing up. After my mother married and had kids, she lost touch with Hilda. When my mother was dying in 2009, she finally reached out to her good friend, Hilda, to say farewell. That is how I met Hilda. Hilda was such a kind person. She and my mother took a trip to Boston when they were young and Hilda made a photo album documenting their trip. She gave me that photo album. Hilda always talked about her cats, her family, her wonderful neighbors who looked out for her especially her neighbor who once lived across the street who was like a daughter to Hilda. My prayers go to the family and friends. I will miss her.
