Family-Placed Obituary
WUDKE, Hubert A. age 70, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at his residence. Hugh was born on August 24, 1935 in Berlin, Germany to Karl and Erika (Vollmar) Wudke. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Carole (Placke) Wudke; three sons Brian Wudke & wife Gretchen, Michael Wudke & wife Michelle, and Erich Wudke & wife Suzanne; 6 grandchildren Andrew, Haley, Dylan, Morgan, Hannah & Benjamin; mother-in-law Mildred Placke; and sister Evelyn Baranke & husband Dieter. Hugh retired in 1995 from the N.C.R. Corp. after 30 years of service. He was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and taught seniors part time for Sinclair Community College. Family will receive friends from 2-5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. and from 10-11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2006 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Bellbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Hugh's name may be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church Food Pantry, 6430 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, Ohio 45459.

Carol, I was shocked to hear of Hugh's sudden death at church this morning. I just saw him 2 weeks ago at Frank Hodgson's funeral. My prayers go out to you and your family and may God sustain you during this most difficult time.

Hugh's contributions to Sinclair's College for Seniors will be long remembered by those he taught. His cheerful, friendly manner will also be missed by his friends at Sinclair.
