News Death Notice

MOORE, Isaac of Springboro passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at Sycamore Glen Nursing Home. He was born July 18, 1926 the son of Isaac and Ora Moore in Hazard, Ky. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklin, Masonic Lodge Eastern Star 55 of Franklin, Eastern Star Lodge Star Lodge Chapter 367 of Middletown, Antioch Temple of Dayton, Temple Guard Unit, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucille Gum and Geneva Mathews. Isaac is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Iris; Daughter Carolyn Smith (Randy); a son, Jeffery Moore (June); a grandson, Tim Williams (Deanna) and four great grandchildren; brothers, Ron Moore (Barbara) and Hugh Moore; sister, Juanita Owen (Doug) and Kathy Roberts (Roger) and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Vernon Risner officiating at Anderson Funeral Home (1357 E. 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005) Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shrine Hospital (3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229), Shrine Hospital (1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502, or First Baptist Church (1670 Second Street, Franklin, OH 45005)

I was truly saddened to hear of the passing of JR (tho some knew him as Ike). His suffering and struggle is over and now I know he's going around Heaven giving BIG OL BEAR HUGS to all the Angels!!
