I met Jesse at a party about 10 years ago and I still remember his wonderful smile and sense of humor, that's how much of an impact he made! I know he made a lot of people laugh and was a special friend to many. I had the good fortune to work with his wonderful brother Sam for many years and heard some great stories about the boys growing up together. A light has gone out in the world with the loss of this kind gentleman. My heart goes out to all of the Studebakers and all those whose lives were graciously touched by Jesse.

Uncle Jesse could brighten up a room, he smiled even at the very end. I would give anything to hear him play "brown eyed girl" just one more time. He was too kind for this world and he left knowing how special he is to his loving family, my mother and his mother were the angels he held hands with everyday until the end, miss you Uncle Jesse.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jesse's passing. Although we hadn't been in touch for many years, I have so many fond memories of him from college. His big laugh, bright smile, a guitar that always seemed to be with him and so full of life. We had a lot of fun back then. I can truly say my life is richer for having known him. My deepest sympathies to the Studebaker family. It is a great loss and he will be missed.

I have been looking for Jesse for awhile but so sad to find him today. I have so many wonderful memories from elementary and middle school. We were in orchestra together and had much fun. Always loved going to his house and playing around the farm. He was a wonderful person, always positive with a huge smile. I loved to listen to him play the violin too. He was so talented and that was obvious by the long list of achievements included here. All my best and prayers to the Studebakers. He was a true blessing.

When I was a new student at OR Edgington in the second grade, Jesse invited me to sit at his table and didn't care that all the other boys were snickering at him for being nice to a girl. From that moment on we were best buddies, all the way through high school. His white blond hair was always green from a summer of swimming when school started every year. He played the fiddle and had a laugh that you could hear from the other end of the hall. He was different and funny and kind. Everyone liked him. I loved him. RIP, friend.
