Only the good die young...JoAnn and I went to high school together,"go Cougars", and we also worked together on the P&R lines at Delphi. I remember one year, JoAnn bought me some cupcakes for my Birthday. When I left plant 14 to go to plant 17, she bought a good luck card and had all the P&R operators sign it! She is a really sweet lady and I am glad I had the chance to know her!!! Thank you JoAnn. Only the good die young...

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Hey Jo!!!! You were known as Jo-Baby to everyone but to me it was J0-Body!!! Your favorite song at the time was Mariah Carey "Touch My Body". I think of you everytime I hear it now. Dear Jo
Although we had grown apart, you were one of my dearest cousins. I miss those times of us going out until we just couldn't go any more. I thank you for those times. We shared a lot of wonderful memories. Although I know God makes no mistakes, I still find it so hard to believe you're gone. I feel like I'm just rambling on because I'm still in shock and don't know what to say. You were such a beautiful person inside and out. I love you I love you I love you dearly and miss you much.

It was shocking to me, to hear of JoAnn's passing. I went to Colonel White H.S. with Jo, and also worked briefly with her at Delphi. Her personality was as warm as her smile. To the entire family, I will pray for you during this rough time, and just know that GOD doesn't make mistakes.

In a time like this you really don't know what to say, especially to the family! I was not fortunate enough to know Joann as long as some, but I got to meet her through my sister Amanda a few times! Even then, she was such a carefree person, and seemed very much like she lived life to the fullest. I send my condolences to her family, I cannot imagine what you guys are going through, you will be in my prayers.

My dear sister and friend, words cannot express how much I adore, miss and love you. I truly cherish the time we spent together. I miss your laughter, your smile and needless to say you humor. You brought me an unbelievable amount of joy. I could not have asked for a better sister God certainly blessed me with you. My God, I can't believe you are no longer physically with us. I feel so lost without you. Even when we did not see each other or talk on the phone, in my heart, mind, and soul I always knew you were just a phone call away. My heart is aching so much right now. I am so sorry that I wasn't there to assist you during your unfortunate incident, I choose to have guilty feelings about that and at this time I wish I could trade places with you. You have touched so many peoples lives, especially your family and close friends. You will live in my heart forever. The Dallas Cowboys is now my official team, I can't get with the bingo stuff, but Marlene has your back on that one. I love you som much. Dont't worry I will take care of your newphew (Johna-Than), he's your baby and he love you deeply. I'll see you on the other side and I promise I will stay sober no matter what. I love you big sis.

Not promised

Tomorrow is not promised to nobody
One moment you’re here, next minute we’re viewing your body
And nobody says died, they say you passed way
Like we’ll see you tomorrow like we saw you yesterday
Press rewind and play so we can see you
Wish the future coulda’ been more see thru
Never knew it would be you, thought we’d have more time
I want to write a poem and scribble more lines
More rhymes, more kind, wish you could say you’re fine
I guess it was your time, I wish I had more signs
That I would never ever see you again
They’re calling you a memory, but I’m calling you a friend
A win for Heaven because they know they got an angel
You could see it from every angle, but you know what’s strange though?
I want to arrange those flowers I never got to give you
But now the flowers that I give will now outlive you
But until you see me again please save a place
When it’s my turn, wait at Heaven’s gate
And we will be reunited and others will be reminded
Lost the time to say, “I love you” now it’s too late to find it
Blinded by our 9 to 5’s and overtime
Missing out on life over one more dime
I would trade dimes for time to tell you that you’re loved
I wish a few days ago I gave you that last hug
But we shrug it off because there’s always tomorrow
Then the sorrow comes with no more time to borrow
But I’ll just follow your lead and try to light up a room
I know tonight you would not focus on the gloom and doom
You would tell me, “Lee, I’m in a much better place”
I still envision that smile upon your face
It could never be erased, not even in death
I will remember Jo Baby even when I take my last breath…

To the Whitfield/Bennet family; My prayers go out strongly to the family. I met Joann about a year ago through Delphi, Joann confronted me with a smile, from that day on myself and Joann became attached to each others hips (where you so one of us you so the other). Joann will be deeply missed by myself and others who knew of her so well. Words cannot express the pain in my heart of her passing; But I would like to express to you all that she will always be in my heart and truly loved.

The shock of her passing is just overwhelming. I had the pleasure of working with Joann at Delphi. I worked her line on the second shift and made sure it was set up to her expectations when she came in on the first shift as she had it set up form me. If it wasn’t set up right, she would let me know in no uncertain terms. We were a great team and I will miss her greatly.

She was a fine lady and heaven is even more blessed with her presence. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to her, her family and all that had the pleasure to get to know and love her.

To the family of JoAnn

Words can't express my deep feelings of sympathy. I met Joann about 10 years ago. Sometimes we would celebrate our birthdays together. We would have long conversations about everything. Joann and I would laugh so much at work and after work. She had the bigest warmest heart for others, especially when it concerned her family. I will always remember Joann and the great times we always shared.

My friend, Joann Whitfield, still lives in my heart.

I pray that GOD will Bless All of the Whitfield Family

Words can not express how saddened I am by the loss of my great friend. I can only think of the good times that we shared. How can someone so vibrant and full of life be gone so soon? I wish after I moved we would have kept in touch. I don't think you ever knew how much you meant to me. You could always make me smile and your laugh was infectious. I will always love you, never forget you, and miss you forever. I know what beautiful person you were Joann. My thoughts and prayers remain with the family in their time of sorrow.
