John Amendt Obituary
March 12, 1930 - February 10, 2023
92, of Dayton, departed this world on February 10, 2023, and joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in a far better place. He was born March 12, 1930, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Ruth and Neil Amendt.
Jack was a loving husband and father, who is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 71 years, Mary Lou. Also surviving are their three children: Susan (Gary) Avery, John (Peggy) Amendt, Jr., Marianne (Rich) Hill; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Jack is survived by his sister, Carol Jean McClure. His brother Charles is predeceased.

I worked with Jack at Wal-Mart for several years. I always enjoyed talking with him. His good humor, stories and jokes would make me smile and brighten my day. My sincere sympathy to Jack's family. I am sorry for your loss.

I work with Jack. For many yrs Jack had a since of humor when he retired I miss him and his story´s ! Enjoy when I saw him come shopping at walmart. With this wife Mary! RIP my friend prayers to the family

I worked with Jack in Walmarts automotive department for many many years. We have allot of good memories to look back on. Prayers to Mary and family. Jack will be missed by MANY!

So sorry for Aunt Mary Lou & the family. I lived in Dayton for 5 years & they have kept in touch over the past 40 years. We have enjoyed studying the family history during the last few years.
