News Death Notice

MITCHELL, Reverend John T. "Tommy" age 62 of Rockford, OH, formerly of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 10, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents James R. Mitchell, Ethel M. and Ray Snider, his brothers Robert and Richard Mitchell, nephew Michael Mitchell and a special friend Cynthia Harris. He is survived by his son Johnny Mitchell; grandson Tristan; sister Sharon and husband Ernie Rife of Moraine; brother Ronald Mitchell of Deland, FL; aunt Betty Hall; numerous nieces and nephews; companion Lorena Bolenbaugh; special friend Clay Brown and a host of other relatives and friends. Tommy touched many lives through his music and sermons. He will greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., with Pastor Rick Bowser officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment at Arlington Cemetery in Brookeville, OH.
