Cliff was a good friend. We shared good times at Sunday school, Church camp, bowling on Saturday mornings and later sharing emails and phone calls. He was a kind and gentle man with a good sense of humor. He has many friends and admirers who will miss him greatly. My best wishes to his wife and his sister.

I didn't know Cliff well in high school. However, my encounters with him revealed him to be a soft-spoken caring thoughtful gentle man. My best wishes to his family at their loss of him

I was a neighbor to the Parsons Family on Beatty Road and knew Cliff to be a gentle giant, and someone I looked up to. He was a true role model for a young boy like me. My dad enjoyed talking with Buck Parsons too. I graduated from Gateway in 1970 and went into the Army and my family moved to Florida. I lost track of Cliff and his family. My condolences.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Cliff's family. I was in the class of 1964 (Andrew L. Owens)

Cliff was also in the band at Gateway, and was always nice to everyone. I wouldn't say we were friends, but were friendly to one another. His dad was also a great guy, was an asst. scoutmaster of the Boy Scout troop I was in. A good family, I'm saddened to hear of his passing, and send my prayers to those he leaves behind.

With deepest sympathies, Harry F. Cook '66

My deepest condolences to the Parsons family. Cliff was one of my closest friends in High School, yet our college decisions made it dificult to stay in contact. Fond memories of the big guy will remain with me.

My condolences to the family. Cliff (as I knew him) was a gentle giant. We rode the bus to Gateway daily as he lived off Beatty road and I lived in University Park. I always kidded him that I would not have a good day unless I had his knee sticking in my ear during the trip to school.
I was hoping that he would attend this year's reunion in Pa. I knew he would be the only one I would have recognized.

TO Cliff's family,

May God give you peace as you reflect on Cliff's life. I just did as I only knew him when we were at Gateway High School (class of 1965), but what an amazing athlete and a fine man. It was a joy to be friends with him. And as I read his obit, I can see that he continued loving life and people.

I'm praying for you all, for God is good.
