HENA, Jusu J. Beloved Jusu J. Hena died on the evening of February 13, 2016. Jusu was born July 16, 1951 in Bolahun, Liberia. Jusu relocated to the Kiev, Ukraine in his early twenties to pursue a Bachelor's of Geophysics from Kiev National University. Being able to work in this field in Liberia, would allow Jusu to contribute to Liberia's budding economy and the progress of his country. Kiev is where Jusu met his future wife, Ludmila Kravchenka, who would go on to take his last name after the two were wed in 1980. After obtaining his bachelors and marrying Ludmila, the couple gave birth to Allen Hena, their first son. Jusu relocated his young family to Monrovia, Liberia. Soon after, the couple gave birth to their second son, Dennis Hena. In an effort to establish himself and his family in the US, escape emerging civil hostility in Liberia, and obtain his Masters of Geophysics, Jusu relocated to Ohio to study at Wright State. Jusu would bring his next three children into the world (Eugenia Hena, Selley Spruell, Phillips Hena). He made great strides for Liberia, working in partnership with organizations like DALA and FLAA. Jusu's legacy is carried forward with his six children, five in the US and one daughter in Liberia, Josephine. He also leaves behind one grandson, Roman, and his widow Jemima Johnson, who he married in 2013 after Ludmila Hena passed away in late-2012 after succumbing to cancer. Wake service will take place, February 26th from 5 PM to 9 PM at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 Gettysburg Avenue, 45406. Funeral services will take place, February 27th from 11 AM to 1 PM at Greater Allen AME Church, 1620 W. 5th St., 45402.
