Karon K. Swan, 81, of Springfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio, was preceded in death by her father Harold (JoAnne) Kelly, by her mother, Dorothy (Healea) Bateman, her beloved stepfather, Vernon Hughes, and her nephew, Carl Berg. Karon's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted member of Springfield Church of Christ and First Christian Church, where she found great joy in participating in Bible studies and in fellowship with others. She had a heart for service and built a successful business dedicated to helping and serving people, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered. Above all, Karon was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She shared 61 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Steve Swan. She was a proud and supportive mother to Tracey Stute and Eric (Jenny) Swan, and she cherished her role as grandma to her grandchildren: Logan Bailey, Austin (Sybil) Bailey, Sydney (Anthony) Kitchen, Mary Stute, Sophie Swan (Dashawn Ward), Tate Stute, Stella Swan (Darrius Childress), Alyssa Swan, and Jay Swan. Her love extended to her precious great-grandchildren: Naomi, Rosalie, and Banks. Karon is also survived by her siblings: Joyce Berg, David Kelly, Kevin (Sally) Kelly, stepbrother Doug (Karen) Long, and stepsister Debra (Mike) Traub, along with many dear nieces and nephews. She was blessed with the lifelong friendship of Linda Hull, who remained a steadfast companion throughout the years. Her faithful and loving dog, Baron, was always by her side, providing comfort and companionship. Karon's life will be honored and celebrated on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
