Kathryn Helgeson, age 88, passed away at Complete Care at Ridgewood Nursing Home in Racine, Wisc., on September 18, 2025. She was born in Iowa on March 8, 1937, to the late Kerner Helgeson and Florence (Severson) Helgeson. She was a registered nurse and proudly made this her life's work before retiring in 1999.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Gary) Smith and Patrick (Angela) Weiland; grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Kelsey and Kevin; and great grandchildren, Aleigha, Harrison and Jackson. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Ozee; and siblings, Paul Helgeson and Thomas Helgeson.
Services for Kathryn will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 8760 37th Ave, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. A visitation will also take place at church from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church in Kathryn's name are appreciated.
