The first time that I met Ken was at his office in the Dayco Building in 1984. For the past 20 years, he has been a wonderful friend, inviting me to visit he and Sarah in Hilton Head when I was in the area. I took him up on this invitation about four years ago. On the island for business, Ken picked me up and we enjoyed a terrific dinner and relived his days at Dayco. The one thing that I will always remember about Ken (and Sarah!) is that everytime we talked, they asked how my family was. That meant more to me than they could ever know. Ken knew my Dad was ill (he passed away in June), and even though Ken was not feeling well himself, he made a point of asking how I was doing when we talked in August. I could always count on my day becoming better after I talked with Ken.
