Family-Placed Obituary

KEARNS, Larry J. Age 58, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2005. He was born September 10, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN, the son of Howard W. and Ozie (Maxwell) Kearns. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jean Kearns; three daughters, Janet, Charlotte, and Karen Kearns, all of Dayton; 5 granddaughters, Sonya, Julie, Jamie, Barbie, and Angel; his mother, Ozie; one sister and brother- in-law, Jean and Chris Whitaker; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Mary Kearns, Carl and Joetta Kearns; numerous other relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) where funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Joe Abshear officiating. The family would like to thank Mr. Pat Dakin and Commercial Metal Fabricators for their kind consideration. Interment will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
