Larry Linder Obituary

Linder, Larry J.

Larry J. Linder, age 82, passed away on August 23, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. He was born on April 16, 1943 in Hartford City, Indiana to the late Marion and Mary (Maxey) Linder. He graduated from Beavercreek HS in 1961, then went on to UD to obtain an electrical engineering degree. After working at various jobs in his career, he was self-employed the last 27 years. He was always learning and obtained 6 patents during his employment. He mentored high school and college students along the way so they could obtain their degrees. He was an optimist, proud American, member of the NRA, ARRL, and Aley UMC. He loved being with family and friends. Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vicki; sons, Matt (partner, Lori) and Bryan (Mindy); 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother, Jerry; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don; and sister, Janet. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 2 pm to 3:30 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). Funeral service will begin at 3:30 pm.
