I was in college when the Doty's moved next door. Lendel's heart and generosity were unlmited. I laughed every time we spoke to each other. I saw first hand her love for John, Adrienne, Claire and Barrett. She was an amazing positive force in this world. May her memory be eternal.

I knew Lendel in College (Franklin Pierce 1976-77). Her old boyfriend, Tim Briggs & I hitchhiked around the country and we visited her in Tuscan on that trip. It was the last time I saw her though we spoke on the phone once a few years later. For some reason, out of the blue today, I thought of her and did a goggle search. How sad I was to learn of her passing. I remember Lendel as a beautiful and thoughtful young lady. My deepest condolances to her family.

John, Brett, Shawn:
I am deeply saddened by your loss. Though I did not know Lendell except in brief passings, I spent many a day on the Davis porch and the ball fields with the Davis' and Doty's. To each of you and the entire Davis and Doty families you have my deepest sympathies. May the memories through the years bring a smile to your face and joy in your heart.

Dear John & family:
Our deepest sympathy to you all on your loss. As anyone lucky enough to have met Lendel knows, she had a wonderful attitude toward life and was, no exaggeration, one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Hang in there, John.

Dear Doty family,
I was so saddened when I read about Lendel's passing. What a loss to you and the community. I remember when Adrianne and Kevin went to prom, and then came back to your home. Lendel had goodies prepared, movies, comfy-cozy places for the kids to 'nap' and prom pictures already in albums....She will be so missed.
I will keep you all in my prayers, and I admire her donation of corneas and self...

I've watched an amazing phenomenon for the past 4 years. John, how you have handled Lendel's sickness, and juggled all of the difficulties of life throughout is inspirational. Lendel, Adrienne, Barrett, and Claire have such a strong, but still sensitive, leader for their family. Your kids are going to be great leaders too and handle the hard things in life so much better for having watched their dad during these past four years. I'm humbled by your strength and pray for just a fraction of that when life hits me hard as well.
I know there is still more work to do (with life in general), but you've earned a little rest. Please take care of yourself.
The world is a better place with you here. There are a lot of us who know this, and hope to return the gesture someday.
Love and prayers to all the Doty's,
Carol
