Watson, Linda L.

Linda L. Watson, age 77, of Cedarville, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at her residence with her husband by her side. Linda was born September 19, 1947 in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of Earl C. and Valorie (Reece) Vance.

Linda was retired from Wal-Mart in Springfield. She graduated from Springfield South High School. She enjoyed playing Bingo and watching old movies and reading murder mysteries. She was a collector of many different things, including music boxes, juke boxes, Barbies and dolls, Mickey Mouse, and anything Ohio State Football related. She especially enjoyed going to auctions.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Watson, Jr. whom she married November 17, 1999, sons: Ronald L. (Sonny) Rife and David L. (Jodi Dean) Henslee both of Springfield; step daughter: Amy (David) Dommett; sisters: Margaret (Kenneth) Owen and Janet Smith; 8 grandchildren and a great grandson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Monday, September 8th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM Monday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Online expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.
