News Death Notice

HANSON, Lois Jean Gillam Age 86 of Atlanta, GA and formerly of Harveysburg passed away Sat. May 31, 2008 in Atlanta. Lois graduated from Kingman H.S., class of '39 and attended Miami Univ. in Oxford after graduation. She was a member of and was very active in several committees and activities at the Front Street Presbyterian Church in Hamilton including a volunteer pianist. She was also the volunteer music director and pianist at the Westwood United Presbyterian Church in Easton, OH in the church's early years. She was past president of the Hamilton Kiwanis Auxiliary, active in the Butler County Heart Assoc., and a brownie and Cub Scout leader. In moving to Atlanta, she remained very active in many philanthropic organizations. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed sewing, music, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her brother Wilford Gillam. She is survived by her devoted husband Lennart, married 64 years, two daughters Claire and Ingrid Hanson, two sons Clyde and Harold Hanson, grandson Harold Hanson Jr., and her sister Helen Gerard. Funeral services 2:30 PM Wed. June 4 at the Jonahs Run Baptist Church in Harveysburg. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is serving the family.
