Margie O'Toole Obituary
News Death Notice
O'TOOLE, Margie Damuth (nee Marjorie Dorsten), of 10 Wilmington Place in Dayton, died in The Hospice of Dayton on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at the age of 92. She was born July 19, 1918, in Cranberry Prairie, Ohio, and lived many years in Dayton and Centerville. She owned and operated beauty salons in the Dayton area over a period of 45 years, including the M&M Beauty Shop, Margie's Beauty Studio and Margie's Beauty Booth in the Harris Bldg. in downtown Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Regina and Albert Dorsten; her first husband, Vernon Russell Damuth; her second husband, Edward J. O'Toole; and her daughter, Lynn Hastings and son-in-law Don Hastings. Also preceding her in death are her sisters Thelma Putnam, Norma Horstman, Joan Kussman and Alice Adams; brothers Harold and Floyd; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifford and Lulu Damuth; brothers-in-law John Putnam, Paul Kussman, Bob Adams and Joe Fullenkamp; and sister-in-law Vera Dorsten. She is survived by her son Gary Damuth of Centerville; daughter June Damuth of Miamisburg; sister Mary Ann Fullenkamp of Dayton; sister-in-law Elaine Dorsten; brother-in-law George Horstman; grandchildren Joe Damuth and wife Tina of Tampa, Fla., and Steven Hastings and wife Lisa of Union, Ohio; great-grandchildren Kevin Spurlock and Nicklaus Hastings, Bryce Damuth and Katie O'Toole of Glendale, Ariz.; and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Margie was a former member of St. Anthony, Ascension and Incarnation parishes and most recently belonged to St. Albert the Great Parish of Kettering. Graveside service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45409. Final arrangements are being handled by TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL.
