Marty and I were very close. We played in Tinted Glass Band together for years. Marty had
a smile and a laughter like no other. Marty was one of Springfield's greatest drummers. We will meet again some day cuzz in heaven and play some great classic rock for god in his angels. RIP

I was so shocked and saddened when I heard about not only your passing but the way you passed. I am still in disbelief and find myself thinking about you all the time. Although we hadn't seen each other in a few years, that FITZWATER blood runs deep cousin!! I'm so sorry that you had to leave this world so early Marty. I always loved your energy and you were always my favorite cousin .I wish you peace and I hope you're banging them drums in heaven. Anne,. I am so so sorry for the loss of your dad. I know a little something about losing a parent way too soon. Its awful but Hang in there and just know that I'm wishing you love peace and healing.

I am sorry to have heard about Marty. I was lucky to have attended several of his concerts where he played the drums-a talent that he shared with his brother Mike. The Fitzwaters made quite an impression on my life. Thinking of you and thanks so much for all the memories.

My sincere condolences to the Fitzwater family on the passing of Marty.
He was such a great guy and so much fun to be around. I always enjoyed listening to Marty play the drums and hearing his laughter.
He will be greatly missed!

To my friend Marty and his family, many blessing, celebrate his life. We were in several bands together and spent many evenings at my house practicing with the Mannish Boy Blues Band to play all over the Springfield, Dayton, Fairborn, Yellow Springs area. Marty defined himself as a drummer. He spoke of the love/respect he had for his parents, his siblings, children, family and friends. Marty, as you smiled, I will always smile when I hear you drumming thunder on the other side. R.I.P. brother.
