It is hard to realize that it has been eight (8) years since Matt left. I can visualize having a conversation with Matt, at AFIT. i Beleive he left some fond memories with everyone he touched.

I had the privilege of collaborating with Matt when he was developing his Pattern Recognition Modeling work, which was years ahead of its time. As a Psychologist, I was amazed at Matt's broad intellectual range and insight, and his ability to connect and communicate with such a wide range of technical and non technical students, co workers and friends.

Kathy and Linda, We haven't seen each other since we were very little. I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you.

Matt was my friend. I will savor memories of great hearty meals with Matt and his wife Barbara and our friends. Everyone loved to hear the friendly banter back and forth as great Classical Music played in the background, there was good food on the table, and the best evenings you could possibly imagine. Dr. Kabrisky was my mentor and friend during my master's program at AFIT, and a treasured colleague when I went back there to teach. As a student, I took all seven classes he taught, none of which were in my major. He was a fascinating educator and proponent of the "non-class" to draw out the best in his students. Although we never agreed on issues of spirituality (in fact, I was drawn TO God through what I learned from Matt), he is the only person I would be happy to call a guru; it would've been an honor to sit with him on a mountainside in Tibet, engaging his wisdom. He is missed.

Matthew Kabrisky shared his warmth, his intellect and his laughter with everyone. Truly made a difference in the world with everyone he met. May he continue this legacy from heaven.
