Minnie Fells Johnson Ph.D, of Plantation FL, formerly of Dayton, OH, departed this life Thursday, November 23, 2023. Funeral service 11 am Monday, December 11, 2023, at Believers Christian Fellowship Church, 3010 McCall St. Dayton, OH. Visitation 10am- 11am at which time family will receive friends. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.

Dr Minnie Johnson was an outstanding, no-nonsense leader. She hired me for my first top level administrative position and told me she hated mediocrity and required excellence. I never disappointed her and worked hard to meet the high standard she set for herself and others around her. A true leader and inspiration to those fortunate enough to work with her.

My deepest sympathy to Thena, Azi, Amari (Minnie´s one and only grandson), her sisters and other family members.
I will miss the times we spent together over the last 50 years, sharing family stories, shopping furniture consignment stores, eating garlic crab on the wharf, cruising fantasy neighborhoods and doing other fun stuff.
Going to miss those excursions and conversations but memories of our times together will live on in my heart.

Condolences to the Fells/Johnson/Akers families. I will always have warm memories of our days growing up on 5th Street. No matter how far we roam , home and the people we shared our formative years with will always be a part of us. Rest in peace, Penny.
