Myrna FASNACHT Obituary


News Death Notice

FASNACHT, Myrna Lee (Butterbaugh) 86, of Brookville, passed away following an extended illness July 13, 2012. She was preceded in death by husband of 53 years, Norman E. Fasnacht. Myrna, Norman and family operated Fasnacht's apple orchard until 1969. She worked as a cook at Westbook School Cafeteria for 12 years, followed by making and selling children's crafts for 20 years. Myrna was a member of the Brookville Church of the Brethren, where she taught Sunday School and in her later years, Nursery School. Survived by children, Gary Fasnacht, Wayne Fasnacht and Janiece (David) Acres; grandchildren, Mike Fasnacht, Doug Fasnacht, Jason Fasnacht, Jennifer Polley, Heather Klosterman, Alena Williams and Justin Acres; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Butterbaugh; many special nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service 10:30 am Wednesday, July 18 at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Interment in Arlington Cemetery to follow service. Visitation from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Brookville Church of the Brethren or Hospice of Dayton. I am so sorry to learn about your mother's passing. I visited occasionally with her at Sterling House and always enjoyed her sweet spirit. I am sorry I cannot be at the viewing or funeral. I have conflicts for both times. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
