Lt. Martín was a genuine man. He always cared about other people and helped them with their problems; always trying to make a difference. Footsteps, a group at Dayton Correctional Institution, was just one of the many differences he was trying to make. Thank you for all the great things you have done for the women of D.C.I. and O.R.W. You will be missed. You were taken too soon. My prayers go out to the family and friends who have lost such a wonderful human being.

It was a great pleasure to have become friends with Nic. He always had smile and a kind word no matter what the situation. He was a great inspiration with such a sweet spirit for the things of God.
You will be terribly missed but never forgotten.

I worked with Nic at DCI. It was evident to me that he loved his wife and kids, whenever he spoke of them his face always lit up along with a huge smile. It was also evident that he took his job seriously. It was a good experience to have had him as a coworker. I have been thinking of his family since I heard the news. I cant imagine how difficult this has to be. I will continue to send prayers for you all.

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow at the loss of our nephew, Nick. Prayers for his wife & children, parents & twin brother Patrick and brother Todd. He will be greatly missed but is now present with our Lord.
