TOLLIVER, Orlan "Lightning"

TOLLIVER, Orlan "Lightning", age 90, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1935 in Bell County, Kentucky, raised in Bledsoe, Kentucky and moved to Ohio in 1953. He was employed at P K Lumber for 46 years, retiring in 2000. He was a Christian. Orlan was a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and a member of the NRA. Orlan was an outdoorsman, an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also a master wood worker. Preceding him in death were his parents, Oscar and Ora (Bailey) Tolliver; his wife, Ruby in 1988; one brother, Wayne Tolliver; and one sister, Otta Lee Smith. He is survived by two sons, Timothy Allen Tolliver and Mark Edward Tolliver; four grandchildren, Lauren Tolliver, Trent Tolliver, Tyler Tolliver and Tyra Tolliver; one great grandson, Alexander Tolliver; one sister, Ola James; two cousins, McClellan Tolliver and Roger Franz; and many extended family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 1:00 P.M., with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Interment will be next to his wife at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio.
