To the entire Scarff family..I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I graduated with Peter from Tecumseh in 78. I knew the other Scarff siblings as well, riding the same school bus at one point. I remember Peter as a kind, thoughtful person, with mad tennis skills! May Peter rest in peace, and the family be comforted knowing that he positively touched the lives of so many people.

Our sincerest condolences to Cindy, the kids, and Bill. Although we haven't seen much of Pete and Cindy the last several years, we used to run into each other at Dayton Dance Assembly and other social gatherings. Pete and I were tennis buddies growing up (he was a better player than me), and played college tennis at the same time, myself for Bowling Green, and Pete for OU (under Coach Cotton). Years later we played in the same Thursday night tennis league at Dayton Indoor along with his father Bill, Joe Pierce, Fred Pierce, Billy o'Neill, Shaw Emmons, Bob Helmers, Mike Dahm, Roger Johnson and many others. Pete was always a gentleman and good guy, and had a mischievous side to him. Very saddened to learn of his passing, he was a top notch guy and a lot of fun. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Peter was such a kind generous man. He was always willing to help Family and Youth Initiatives--whether it was our garden, our internet, or our landscaping. He was so willing to allow us the land to have our garden for the community and he even plowed it for us. What a beautiful thing to do--to allow us to help those needy people who hunger for fresh veggies. Thanks to Peter over 25 families a week are getting fresh produce.
Peter, we will miss you and you kind smile. May you rest in peace and your family have the happy memories of your love for those less fortunate.

Enjoy Heaven, we will be up to join you we pray.

Cindy and Family--So sorry to hear of Pete's illness and passing. While only in touch periodically the last several years, I always considered Pete a close friend. He was a regular and enthusiastic partner in fun while we were at O.U., sharing in adventures throughout Southern Ohio and West Virginia too. In later years we shared priceless moments at each others weddings and various other events. As his other O.U. friends and tennis mates will attest, we all had a blast together--yet you could clearly see the man he became--caring, engaging, intelligent, great laugh and a proud family man. A special person indeed. I know he will be looking down and watching over you--usually sporting that great grin of his. Peace to you all.

To the family of Peter Scarff. I only knew Peter for a short time. However, in those few months, Peter's kindness and gentleness that so many have mentioned shined through, as did his love for his family. Praying for everyone as you walk this difficult path. But I am also rejoicing with you as Peter is now in heaven, perfect and whole and rejoicing in the presence of our Lord and Savior.
